Der Mensch Andreas Oesch lädt den Rezipienten ein, in seine künstlerische Welt einzusteigen. Technisch betrachtet durch die situative Gestaltung des Pappmachés als Fenster. So sind wir eingeladen aus der Welt des Betrachters, von Fenster zu Fenster, also von Bild zu Bild zu gehen und die Natürlichkeit des Tessins mit den Gefühlen und Betrachtungen des Künstlers zu durchwandern; Schlupflöcher zu verwenden. Über die Natürlichkeit der zugrundeliegenden Fotomotive geleitet uns der Künstler, gleichsam spielerisch, in die Natur. Hält uns an zu verweilen, Träume, Phantasien und aber auch Erinnerungen werden zu lassen. Oesch generiert über seine Kunstform die Natur des Vergangenen zur Gegenwart. Obwohl Andreas Oesch in seinem ursprünglichen Beruf Medienpädagoge ist, ist sein Ausdrucksmittel keinesfalls als ein erhobener Zeigefinger zu verstehen. Nein, er will nicht erziehen! Er vermag es, diesen pädagogischen Zeigefinger zu einer, dem Betrachter wohlmeinenden, ausgestreckten Hand zu formen: wenn Du möchtest komm herein! fühle Dich! Sei einfach Du! – integraler Bestandteil des Bildes.“

Philiosophie der Bildreihen Mauern und Verzasca
 
Anfangs waren es die Elemente: Feuer, Wasser, Luft, Erde, die mich fesselten. Hier fokussiert auf Erde und Wasser. Von ihnen erhalte ich die Inspiration für die Entstehung meiner Bilder zwischen Wirklichkeit und Traum auf der Einen sowie Natur und Mystik auf der anderen Seite. Sie sind wie offene Fenster mit dem Blick in neue Dimensionen.
 
Eine subtile Verschmelzung von Foto, Farbe und Technik sollen Augen und Gedanken erst in vertraute Bilder locken und dann gefangen nehmen. Im Tessin (Schweiz) ist es die das sprudelnd, klare Wasser der wilden Verzasca, die verschiedenen Arten von Mauern, die durch Synthese von Realität und Vision den Betrachter ins Unendliche schweifen lassen und seine Aufmerksamkeit führen, wohin es die Seele drängt. Konkrete Bilder und Momente lösen sich auf in ein abstraktes Miteinander – ins Nirgends und Überall, ins Nahe und Ferne, weg vom Vertrauten in neues unbekanntes Terrain. Wahrnehmungen verschieben sich und lassen Einklang und Widerspruch miteinander aufleben.
 
Die Aneinanderreihung verschiedener Bilder eines malerischen Wasserweges oder der Anblick einer Mauer ermöglichen zusätzliche Vertiefungen und Wirkungen. Gedanken werden frei und erschaffen durch die Betrachtung verschiedener Ausschnitte neue Eindrücke und Einsichten, die zu ganz eigenen Geschichten werden. Unbekannte Welten öffnen sich und lassen neue Dimensionen für Seele und Geist entstehen. Die Bilder schaffen Ausgangspunkte, um Gedanken und Gefühle auf eine unendliche Reise zu schicken.

[:en]“About the artist Andreas Oesch: His artworks are the expression of a consistent personal and artistic development, or rather, of his development. Andreas Oesch invites the observer to enter into his artistic world. From a technical perspective, he does so by the situational composition of the Papier-mâché as a window. Thus, we are invited to join the perspective of the beholder and to go from window to window, and therefore from picture to picture, in order to experience the naturalness of Ticino with the emotions and from the perspective of the artist; to use loopholes. By means of the naturalness of the underlying photo motifs, the artist is guiding us into nature in an almost playful manner. We are prompted to linger, to make dreams, fantasies but also memories come to life. With his art form, Oesch is transforming the nature of the past into the present. Although Andrew Oesch´s original profession is media education, his means of expression is by no means to be understood as a finger-wagging. No, he does not want to educate! He is capable of transforming this raised educational finger into a hand that is extended towards the beholder in a well-intentioned manner: come in if you want to! Feel yourself! Simply be yourself! – an integral part of the picture.“

Philosophy of the picture series „Mauern und Verzasca“ (Walls and Verzasca)
 
At first, there were the elements: Fire, water, air and earth, which intrigued me. Here, the focus is on earth and water. They provide me with the inspiration for the creation of my pictures that hover between reality and dreams on the one side and nature and mysticism on the other side. They are like open windows that allow a view into new dimensions.
 
The subtle blend of photo, colour and technique is supposed to attract eye and thoughts with familiar images and to then capture them. In Ticino (Switzerland), it is the sparkling, clear waters of the wild Verzasca and the different types of walls that allow the vision of the observer to roam into infinity by blending reality and vision and thus let his soul lead his attention to where it wants to travel. Concrete images and moments dissolve into an abstract but collective mixture – into nowhere and everywhere, into nearness and distance, away from the familiar into new and uncharted territory. Perceptions are shifted and thus let harmony and conflict become one.
 
The juxtaposition of different images of a scenic waterway or the sight of a wall allow for additional emotions and effects. Thoughts are set free and by looking at various sections new impressions and insights are created that will become their own stories. Unknown worlds open up and lead to the creation of new dimensions for soul and mind. The pictures serve as a starting point for our thoughts and feelings to begin an endless journey.
