Am Vorabend der Art Basel, am 14. Juni 2011 und zur Eröffnung unserer Kunstausstellung „caratart Episode 1“ im carathotel Basel bieten wir Ihnen einen einzigartigen Event mit einer faszinierenden Installation.
Ablauf der Veranstaltung
- ab 20.30 Uhr: Einlass. Der Eintritt ist frei.
- 20.45 Uhr: Eröffnungsrede von Klaus Eberhardt, Bürgermeister von Weil am Rhein
- 21.00 Uhr: Vernissage zur Kunstausstellung. Individuelle Besuche der Ausstellung durch Gäste der Veranstaltung sind während des ganzen Abends möglich.
- 21.45 Uhr: Rede von Kulturamtsleiter Tonio Paßlick
- anschließend: Deutschland-Premiere der Video Mapping Installation „Sweet Dreams“ auf der Fassade des carathotel Basel / Weil am Rhein
- 23.30 Uhr: Ende der Veranstaltung
Video Mapping Installation „Sweet Dreams“
Mittels 3D-Video-Mapping wird die etwa 250 Quadratmeter große Fassade (8 m breit und 32 m hoch!) über dem Eingang des carathotel Basel / Weil am Rhein mit einer einmalig schönen Video-Installation bespielt. Die kreativen Köpfe hinter diesem erlebnisstarken Event mit der eindrucksvollen Licht- und Musikinstallation ist das Team von Junifrost.
Über Junifrost:
Das Team von Junifrost strotzt nur so vor kreativer Schaffenskraft. Es besteht zum einen aus Esterina Zarrillo. Sie macht u.a. Konzeption und Entwicklung von Requisiten, Art Direction für Film, Video, Werbung und Events. Und sie führt bei unsere Installation die Regie.
Neben Esterina gehört auch Roland Olbeter zum Team von Junifrost. Olbeters Werke zeichnen sich durch eine technische Raffinesse aus, die im Theater und der bildenden Kunst Ihresgleichen sucht. 1992 hat er zum Beispiel an der Eröffnungsfeier der Olympischen Spiele in Barcelona führend mitgewirkt. Ergänzt wird das kreative Team von Bombolo, einem weitgereisten Künstler, der sich wunderbaren Skulpturen und der Malerei verschrieben hat.

Kulinarium
1000 Freigetränke warten auf die Besucher dieser einmaligen Veranstaltung!

Für die Musik sorgt ab 20.30 Uhr ein DJ. Ab etwa 22 Uhr übernimmt die Video Installation auch die musikalische Untermalung dieses Events.

On the eve of Art Basel, on 14th June 2011 and to celebrate the opening of our art exhibition, “caratart Episode 1”, in the carathotel Basel, we will be staging a unique event with a fascinating installation.
Event timetable
- from 8.30 pm: admission. Entry is free.
- 8.45 pm: opening address by Klaus Eberhardt, Mayor of Weil am Rhein
- 9.00 pm: preview of the art exhibition. Individual tours by visitors to the event are possible throughout the entire evening.
- 9.45 pm: speech by Tonio Passlick, head of the Office for Culture.
- Followed by: German premiere of the “Sweet Dreams” video mapping installation on the façade of the carathotel Basel / Weil am Rhein
- 11.30 pm: event ends
“Sweet Dreams” Video Mapping Installation
The approx. 250 square metre façade (8 metres wide and 32 metres high) above the entrance to the carathotel Basel / Weil am Rhein will be used as the backdrop for a uniquely beautiful video installation using 3D video mapping. The creative brains behind this exciting event with its impressive light and music installation are the members of the Junifrost team.
About Junifrost:
The Junifrost team is brimming over with artistic creativity. It consists firstly of Esterina Zarrillo. Among other things she is responsible for the design and development of props and art direction for films, videos, advertising and events. And she is also directing our installation.
Working alongside Esterina in the Junifrost team is Roland Olbeter. Olbeter’s works are characterised by a technical sophistication that is unmatched in the theatre and visual arts. In 1992, for example, he played a leading role in creating the opening ceremony for the Olympic Games in Barcelona. The creative team is completed by Bombolo, a much-travelled artist, who has dedicated himself to producing wonderful sculptures and paintings.
International Art Exhibition in the Hotel
